Dr. Bethune comes to life May 17, 1954 and shares her thoughts regarding Brown vs Board Of Education‘s decision. She expounds upon what this means to the tourist visiting with her concluding their visit of the BCC campus.
She will then answer questions. After Dr Bethune "leaves", Odom will answer questions regarding her research.
Ersula Knox Odom, author, Certified Legacy Advisor, essayist, newspaper editor, workshop leader, FHC Mary McLeod Bethune Road Scholar, motivational speaker and prize winning life lyricist.
Depending on the occasion, Ms Odom also reads from her debut book “At Sula’s Feet”. She shares the fond and treasured recollections of a country girl whose life was shaped and enriched by the wit, wisdom and love of her grandmother. Journey down the dirt road where many of her life lessons were learned in a time that was simple and significant. These experiences birthed from the same geographic region as Dr. Bethune.
